Patriot Forever

I wrote this last year when I was um... high on India!

People tell me that my country is nowhere.
And it ain’t getting anywhere.
It Burns my blood and raises my pain
for I never heard a lie so plain.

Are you being ignorant or simply blind,
living in a country anywhere else you wouldn’t find.
In fifty years it rose from dreaded fall.
It might be hurt but it never crawls.

Wounded we were left there to rot,
with no help emerged for a fog a small fog.
Never did it ask them  to repair the damage they did.
But extended a hand in peace before every other kid.

As modern as any other yet traditional in their ways.
Competing in a never ending race.
The people are too many though  and a country so small.
We see our kinda people  behind anything that’s tall.

And food so lovely that waters your mouth,
which is completely different from north to south.
Varied by culture and divided by language.
It never stopped us from uniting despite the rage.

A thousand different ways will this country be described,
all the truth as clear as in a child.
I love my country I really do.
For a country so unique  you will never find, true.
